                    The Clark School and the University of Maryland provide numerous short-term study abroad opportunities during the Winter, Summer, and Spring Break. Programs allow students to complete in-major, technical electives, out-of-major technical electives, and general education requirements.                     ENES472/HONR349T: ?Global Leadership & International Business in Engineering & Technology in Sydney, Australia (January 2020)

                    This is among the most popular short-term courses at UMD and provides you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in Sydney, enjoy the beautiful summer days, and develop important skills related to managing global teams, intercultural communications, international negotiations, and global leadership. Students will now have an opportunity to conduct a comparative analysis between business practices in Australia and the United States.

                    • Program location: Sydney, Australia
                    • Approved for General Education Cultural Competence (DVCC) and as a technical elective for ENME, ENEE, and ENFP students
                    • Program fee includes lodging in apartment style housing, international health insurance, a large number of cultural immersion activities, in-country transportation, some group meals
                    • Students are responsible for their own airfare, most meals, and a few optional incidental expenses

                    ENES317: Introduction to Engineering Leadership in London, England; Abu Dhabi, UAE; & Dubai, UAE (January 2020)

                    We are excited to announce the relaunch of our program in the United Arab Emirites! The itinerary will include London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Students will have an opportunity to expore leadership from a global perspective through site visits, guest speakers, and coursework during this winter course.

                    ENCE489I Sustainability & Infrastructure Condition in Italy

                    Approved as an in-major technical elective for ENCE students. ?ENME, ENFP, and ENEE students can use the course as an out of major technical elective. Approved for the sustainability studies minor. All other students should request departmental approval.

                    GEA Summer Aviation Program in Toulouse, France

                    The program is approved by the ENAE department for 6 transfer credits that fulfill both your in-major and out-of-major technical elective requirements. Students should have a minimum 2.75 GPA by the start of the Spring semester in order to participate in the program.
