                    What Made You Decide to Attend UMD?
                    I chose to attend UMD because I wanted to participate in a strong engineering program in a large school environment. I wanted the opportunity to participate in a diverse variety of activities, attend athletic events, and meet lots of new people and I have been able to do all of these at UMD!

                    Best Experience with a Class or Project
                    ne of my best project experiences was through my first course in the QUEST Honors Program, ENES190H. I worked on a multidisciplinary team consulting with the UMD Fischell Department of Bioengineering. Through this project, we were able to create a new system for submitting and approving special permission forms through the advising office. This was a great team experience where we were able to see a real impact at UMD from our work on the project.

                    Involvements/Extracurricular Activities
                    I am involved in University Honors, QUEST Honors Program, Alpha Omega Epsilon, Terrapin Tap Troupe, ASME, and Pi Tau Sigma.

                    Favorite On-Campus Event
                    My favorite on campus event is Terp Thon, a 12 hour dance marathon for Children's Miracle Network hospitals! It's such an amazing and fun event for a great cause!

                    Research/Study Abroad Experience
                    Some of my most interesting real world experiences have been through the QUEST Honors Program. Through classes in QUEST, I have been able to work with real companies and departments on various quality and process improvement projects. These experiences have helped me to expand my problem solving skills, work on multidisciplinary teams, and work with clients on real world projects.

                    Cool Engineering Experience
                    My coolest engineering experience was during my internship last winter. At my internship, one of my first assignments was identifying and resolving an issue occurring in a CAD model. This assignment and many of the others through my internships have tested my problem solving and critical thinking skills and allowed me to apply the technical knowledge I had learned in my classes to a project outside of school.
